I was quite excited when I got home last night, there were three packages. I dropped my bag just inside the door got the mail and brought in the packages. Two of the packages were known to me… some things we ordered from Amazon for the house. I’ll get to those in a minute.
The first package was from “Uncle Harry”. I don’t have an “Uncle Harry” so I decided to open that package first. Turns out it was pistachio nuts from Pittman & Davis, from my mom. Yum! Can’t wait to open those… for now they are in our pantry waiting for a special occasion!
In the second package was a bulletin board that we ordered for our kitchen. In an effort to keep our home a bit more clutter free (I am typically the culprit of this one), we bought a bulletin board to hang beside our refrigerator. As we looked at hanging it up, Adam decided that this might be a somewhat involved project. So, we moved on to the third package. The third package was new timers for our outdoor lights. You see, our lights are acting very strange. I set the timers for the lights but everyday they seem to turn on earlier and earlier… and, then they turn off earlier and earlier. We can’t seem to figure out why that is happening so we decided to order a new set of electric timers. I was assured that it would be a ten minute project to install these… I guess you can tell where this is going! Three and a half hours, the timers had been installed and then uninstalled and our original timers were back in place. We are still trying to figure out why they didn’t work but seem to be making progress. If you are looking for us tonight, we’ll be back at it! Wish us luck!
In the meantime, we ate dinner as we were working on this project. It definitely wasn’t a very satisfying way to eat so I had to grab a few handfuls of these after I finished eating. Boy did they hit the spot!

I’ve struggled with food for as long as I can remember. After a pretty rough day the other day, I was telling my husband about my first memory… it was in 3rd grade. For some reason (I can’t recall it now), a scale was brought into our classroom to measure and weigh us. I very clearly remember weighing the exact same amount as one of my good friends.
