Weekend Recap

We ended up having a very very relaxing weekend.  After sleeping in on Saturday, we decided to check out some estate sales as we are still trying to furnish our house and are always looking for some interesting furniture and good deals.  The first one was definitely a bust and I left feeling somewhat depressed as it was clearly years of accumulation and the home of an elderly couple.

The second estate sale was actually a moving sale.  And, interestingly enough – it was the home of a former Guiding Light star (Justin Deas and Margaret Colin).  So that was pretty cool.  They even had some furniture that was from the set!  We didn’t see much that interested us but did end up purchasing a book.  I think from now on, I’ll stick to the moving sales.  They seem so much more upbeat!

From there we went on to our main errand … picking up the snowman we had painted last weekend at the ceramic studio.  We’ve put the snowman in our front entry way for now.  We were very pleased with how it turned out and excited to go back in the spring to paint something else.

On Sunday, we did our errands and prepping for the week.  After I finished most of that I found an old soap making kit that still had a lot of life left in it.  So, clearly I just had to get it out.  Here are a couple of pictures…  How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?
