A Bit Better

Well, I tried to get to bed earlier last night and I think I did manage to get to sleep about 20 minutes earlier than the night before… but still not quite enough!  I will try again tonight.

I got home from work and Adam met me at the train again.  It is so much nicer to have someone to walk with.  With this weird warm weather we seem to have this massive onslaught of bugs that gather near the park so walking through those is definitely not pleasant. I am not sure what they are – they kinda look like mosquitos but they don’t seem to attack. Maybe they are too sleep too.

After changing, I decided to lie down on the bed for about 15 minutes before going downstairs to get dinner started.  It felt good to just lie there and not do anything!

Dinner last night was a turkey burger, veggies, and noodles.  Adam put cajun seasoning on… usually if I spice the turkey burgers I put way too much on for him.  I’ve really grown to like the hot spice.  So, unfortunately, this one just didn’t have enough for me.

After dinner, Adam and I worked on trying to find a hotel for part of our vacation next week while I snacked on oranges and a bag of popcorn. We are really close and have narrowed it down to three.  Reviews are so hard… sometimes it is like people are staying at 2 very different hotels!  I am not too picky. Well, I take that back.  It is extremely important to me that any hotel or motel that I stay at is CLEAN.  I don’t really care about outdated furniture or décor but I definitely care about cleanliness. So, wish me luck on picking the right one!

I woke up this morning about 2 minutes before my alarm was scheduled to go off and got myself down to the basement for my workout.  This morning, I did just steady state cardio… nothin’ fancy.  I tried to start out at a lower heart rate so that I could attempt staying more consistent rather than my huge fade at the end of the workout.  I think I did better but I still have work to do in this area.

I need to start making a list of what I am taking for next week so that I can begin packing tonight.  Exciting stuff. Anyone have any good plans for this Thursday evening?
