Healthy Step: Cutting Back on Candy

Friday’s healthy step was to stop eating by 9:00 pm.   And, I made it again.  I didn’t really set a healthy step for the weekend but I stayed focused on trying to curb the nighttime snacking.  All in all I think I did a pretty good job.  I will definitely continue focusing on this as I am incorporating new healthy steps.

I’ve definitely been consuming a bit too much sugar recently (especially since Easter).  And, as a result, I haven’t been feeling 100%.  So, my healthy step for today is to not eat candy.  I put all of our remaining Easter candy in an undisclosed location.  I don’t want to throw it out because that seems wasteful and I am not trying to remove it from my diet completely.  I am a huge fan of candy and trying to remove it from my diet completely is very likely to backfire.  I typically find that just moving it so that I don’t see it on a daily basis, works.  You know – out of sight, out of mind.
