My Last Day & A Great Workout

Today is my last day in my current job and I almost overslept this morning.  I didn’t even go to bed too late last night… I just couldn’t seem to wake myself up.

Despite almost missing my chance to workout before leaving for work, I ended up having one of the best workouts that I’ve had in weeks.  I pushed hard for the entire workout and was really pleased with myself once I finished.  I did intervals today… I spent 10 minutes warming up and then changed then increased the resistance every 2 minutes: 16, 17, 18, 19, and then 20.  Then I went back and started over again with 2 minutes at 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21.  I kept repeating this and adding a higher resistance level at the end.  With the last set, I actually worked backwards so that I’d be able to work that set right into my cool down.

May 4th Workout

I’ll definitely have to remember to repeat this workout next week!  It was a lot of fun… I am still not totally clear on what hours I’ll be working in my new job so I am not sure how much more I’ll be able to sleep in or where my newly found free time will go.  But, I was thinking that I’d like to spend more time on strength training over the coming months.  And, I’d also like to try and get outside running once a week.  I’ll probably hold off on making too many changes until I’ve been in my new job for a week or two.

Well, off to finish up those last few remaining things…
