My husband and I have been shopping for dining room furniture for over six years.  We just couldn’t find anything that we loved… or, it was all SUPER expensive.  We are generally pretty slow with making home decorating decisions because we can’t always see eye to eye on what the pieces will look like in the room.  I like to get piece by piece but my husband needs to start with a complete vision as he can’t picture it piece by piece.

We’d been circling this furniture for four years… watching the sales, almost buying, and then backing off, watching the sales, almost buying, and then backing off, watching the sales, almost buying, and then backing off, etc. (I am sure you get the idea by now).  About ten weeks ago, we finally bit the bullet and purchased it.  Because we’d been circling the furniture for so long I was pretty familiar with their sales cycle so I definitely feel like we got a great deal plus they were guaranteeing Thanksgiving delivery!  And, you know, sometimes spending money is a part of Healthy Living as well!

So, we have now owned the furniture for less than one day and I definitely love it.  It definitely points out screams out the need for some pictures / paintings on the wall and perhaps a light fixture change?  Either way, though… we have seats in our dining room and can now have a proper Thanksgiving meal.  I am sure you are dying to see the pictures… so here they are.

The first three pictures are of the table, chairs, and hutch.

This piece of furniture is called the “Huntboard” and while it doesn’t officially go with this set we bought it for the extra serving and storage space.

We also purchased 2 extra small chairs just in case we have a couple of other guests.  I don’t know that we’ll ever serve this number of people but having a couple of extra chairs is never a bad thing.
