HBBC Prizes Arrived

I got home last night and the prizes I won from the HBBC contest were waiting for me.  Amanda had indicated she mailed them a day or so ago so I wasn’t even beginning to hope that they’d arrive until the end of the week but there they were!  I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a package in a long time.

The HBBC challenge was fun but it also pushed me to work out a lot harder than I normally would have.  And, while it was great to be a part of the challenge and win a prize… It is also time for me to cut back the exercising a bit which I’ll be attempting to do over the next few weeks.

The prizes were: Odwalla running shorts, Believe Tank, Inji Socks, Crystal light surprise pack, and Amy’s coupons for free burritos!  I can’t wait to try each of these things.  I checked the sizes and it looks like just about everything should fit too!  Double lucky. :)  Thanks Amanda!!

A Healthy Living Challenge

Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge 2011

I’ve been watching a lot of people join different fitness & healthy living challenges on twitter and it looks like a lot of fun.  So, when I stumbled across the “Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge” yesterday I was hoping it was a challenge that wasn’t focused on just running as I’ve had to give up running for a while.  I was super happy to see that it incorporated not only different types of fitness activities but also food and nutrition – making it a good “healthy living challenge”.

And, what a perfect time of year for the challenge… the holidays.  It is always much harder to stay on track during the holidays.  So, hopefully this will give just a bit of extra motivation!  There is still time to sign up - the challenge runs from November 19th through January 6th.  I’ll be updating the blog with my progress and I can’t wait to start.  I hope that you join too…it looks like a lot of fun!
